DetailsAzilal, before being the name of a type of Berber Carpet is actually the name of the mountainous region from which these precious carpets of the High Atlas come. is the source of Azilal carpets in the great mountain atlases. The base is raw virgin wool of first mowing to which are added colored patterns that can be of tinted wool, colored cotton threads.
These Berber weavers who create each of these Azilal rugs are simply impressive creativity and sensitivity in the choice of colors and patterns from the Berber symbolic or simply geometric. The one who reads between the lines, or rather between the drawings, can guess the personal and rural history of each weaver. There is daily life, but also love and spiritual aspiration.
